Both platforms let you create a personalized digital avatar from a photo or short video clip so future scripts are delivered by a likeness of a real person rather than a generic stock avatar. Moving from Colossyan to HeyGen: your Colossyan Instant Avatar is not exportable — you must recreate the custom avatar on HeyGen by uploading a photo to the Avatar IV photo-to-video tool or submitting a short video clip to build a persistent Custom Avatar (digital twin). Both tools auto-translate existing videos into other languages with avatar lip-sync, making a localization workflow portable. To migrate from Colossyan to HeyGen: download the original-language MP4 from Colossyan, upload it to HeyGen's Video Translator (heygen.com/translate), select the target language from HeyGen's 175+ language list, and render — HeyGen will re-voice and re-sync lips automatically. To move in the other direction: download the translated MP4 from HeyGen and use it in Colossyan as a reference, or re-run Colossyan's auto-translate on the same source video with Colossyan's 80+ language list. Both platforms support voice cloning so a person's voice can narrate future videos or carry across translated versions without re-recording. Moving from Colossyan to HeyGen: record a short audio sample from the same source material used in Colossyan (Colossyan requires ~1 minute); upload it to HeyGen's voice-clone feature during avatar or translation setup to recreate the cloned voice asset on HeyGen. The cloned voice can then be used in Video Translation so translated videos retain the original speaker's vocal character.
