Move your team from Ocoya to Publer.
Each person gets a short interview, then a personalized step-by-step guide showing exactly where their saved work, prompts, and projects land in Publer — and the few things that need a manual step, walked through. You send one invite; nobody becomes the help desk, and nothing in Ocoya is changed or cancelled. Want to see where you’re paying for both first? Run the free audit.
Both tools embed an AI writing assistant directly in the post composer to generate captions, hashtags, and copy on demand. To move from Ocoya to Publer: access Publer's AI Assistant in the composer, recreate any saved prompt templates or tone preferences as a Brand Voice profile in Publer (Settings > Brand Voice), and note that Publer can generate platform-specific caption variants for Instagram, LinkedIn, X, TikTok, and more in one step. To move from Publer to Ocoya: the AI writer in Ocoya is credit-based (Bronze 100 credits/month, Silver 500, Gold 1,500), so estimate your monthly generation volume before picking a plan. Neither tool exports AI prompt history, so document any high-performing prompt templates externally before switching.
- Warning: Ocoya's AI is gated by a monthly credit quota (100–1,500 credits/month by plan tier); Publer's AI Assistant is included on the Business plan without a published per-generation credit cap, though a limited trial applies on Free.
- Warning: Publer's Brand Voice feature feeds AI suggestions with top-performing post analytics — this context is not portable from Ocoya and must be rebuilt over time as Publer accumulates performance data.
- Warning: Publer supports AI image generation (GPT Image 2); Ocoya's AI is text-focused. Teams relying on AI-generated visuals in Ocoya will need to replicate that workflow via Publer's image generation or Canva integration.
Both tools reduce the manual effort of keeping social queues filled, but through different mechanisms. Ocoya uses automation workflow rules and AI Agents to trigger recurring posting tasks; Publer uses bulk CSV upload and a content Recycling feature to automatically re-queue evergreen posts. To move from Ocoya to Publer: export or document all recurring automation rules in Ocoya, then replicate the content plan by preparing a CSV (columns: post text, media URL, scheduled time) and uploading it in Publer's Bulk Scheduling flow — up to 500 posts at once. For evergreen content that Ocoya re-posts automatically, enable Publer's Recycling feature on the Business plan and set the re-queue interval per post or label. To move from Publer to Ocoya: recreate CSV-driven bulk posts using Ocoya's manual scheduler or automation rule set; configure Ocoya AI Agents to handle any automated content generation tasks that Publer's Zapier integration was handling.
- Warning: Ocoya's automation depth is not explicitly tier-limited in public docs, but AI Agent usage consumes monthly credits (100–1,500/month by plan); heavy automation on lower tiers will exhaust credits quickly.
- Warning: Publer's Recycling (Spintax) feature is Business plan only; Professional plan users get bulk scheduling but not content recycling.
- Warning: Publer's Zapier integration enables automation via third-party triggers (e.g. publish when a new RSS item appears); Ocoya does not document a comparable Zapier integration, so Zapier-driven workflows cannot be directly ported.
Both platforms schedule and auto-publish posts to the major social networks from a unified calendar. To migrate from Ocoya to Publer: export any upcoming scheduled posts from Ocoya (screenshot or manual copy, as there is no direct export path), reconnect each social profile in Publer under Settings > Social Accounts, and reschedule queued content using Publer's drag-and-drop calendar or CSV bulk upload. To migrate from Publer to Ocoya: connect social profiles via the Ocoya integrations page, then re-enter upcoming posts in the Ocoya composer and calendar view. Both tools support Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X/Twitter, Pinterest, TikTok, YouTube, Threads, and Google Business, so platform coverage is effectively equivalent. Publer adds Bluesky, Mastodon, and Telegram as stable (non-beta) channels; some of Ocoya's additional channels (Discord, Slack, Telegram) are still in beta.
- Warning: Ocoya gates profile count by plan tier (5 profiles on Bronze, 20 on Silver, 50 on Gold, 150 on Diamond); Publer's profile limits also vary by plan — verify the equivalent tier covers your account count before switching.
- Warning: Publer's Free plan caps scheduled posts at 10 per account and stores post history for only 24 hours; migrating to Publer Free will immediately constrain volume.
- Warning: Neither platform provides a native scheduled-post export; content queued in one tool must be manually reconstructed in the other.
Both platforms use isolated Workspaces per brand or client, with role-based team access. To migrate from Ocoya to Publer: list all existing Ocoya workspaces and their assigned users/roles; create a matching Workspace in Publer for each brand or client (Settings > Workspaces > Add Workspace); invite team members with the appropriate role (Admin, Editor, or Client). Publer adds a two-tiered approval flow (internal team sign-off then client approval) that does not exist in Ocoya — configure approval rules per Workspace to maintain governance. To migrate from Publer to Ocoya: create one Workspace per client in Ocoya and invite users at the workspace level; note that Ocoya's collaboration model lacks the formal client-approval step, so approval sign-off must shift to an external process (e.g. email or shared doc).
- Warning: Ocoya's workspace count is strictly tier-gated (1 workspace on Bronze, 5 on Silver, 20 on Gold, unlimited on Diamond); Publer Professional and Business plans both support unlimited Workspaces, making Publer more accessible for agencies on mid-tier budgets.
- Warning: Publer's two-tiered approval workflow (internal + client) has no equivalent in Ocoya; teams that depend on a formal approval gate before publishing must build a manual workaround when moving to Ocoya.
- Warning: Ocoya Bronze supports only 1 user seat; small teams on Ocoya's entry plan cannot invite collaborators without upgrading.
Both tools integrate with Canva for design and the major social platforms; the integration surface differs mostly in media storage, automation bridges, and blogging. To migrate from Ocoya to Publer: reconnect Canva under Publer's Integrations settings (the flow is a standard OAuth authorize); add Google Drive or Dropbox in Publer for media storage if your team was pulling assets from cloud storage in Ocoya; set up Zapier in Publer to replicate any automation triggers you had configured via Ocoya's workflow rules; install the Publer browser extension for ad-hoc web-content sharing. To migrate from Publer to Ocoya: reconnect Canva in Ocoya; note that Ocoya's e-commerce integration (for pulling product catalogue data into posts) has no equivalent in Publer, making the Ocoya path preferable if your social content workflow is heavily product-catalogue-driven. Both products expose an API (Publer on Business plan; Ocoya via a developer section in the help center) for custom integrations.
- Warning: Publer's Zapier integration is a standard connector; Ocoya does not document a Zapier integration, so any automation built on Zapier in Publer cannot be directly ported to Ocoya.
- Warning: Publer's API access is gated to the Business plan; Ocoya's API availability and plan restrictions are not spelled out on the public pricing page.
- Warning: Ocoya's Telegram and Discord integrations are beta-flagged; Publer lists Telegram as a stable supported network, so reliability may differ for these channels.
