Move your team from Publer to Flick.
Each person gets a short interview, then a personalized step-by-step guide showing exactly where their saved work, prompts, and projects land in Flick — and the few things that need a manual step, walked through. You send one invite; nobody becomes the help desk, and nothing in Publer is changed or cancelled. Want to see where you’re paying for both first? Run the free audit.
Both tools provide an AI assistant that generates social media captions from a prompt and repurposes longer-form content into social posts. Moving from Flick to Publer: in Flick, open the Iris AI assistant, export or copy any saved drafts, then recreate them in Publer's post composer using the AI Assist button — enter the same topic prompt and select the target platform tone. Publer's Brand Voice feature can be configured with tone guidelines to replicate the style profiles you were using in Flick. Moving from Publer to Flick: note any Brand Voice tone settings you have in Publer, then replicate them manually in Flick's Iris tone/style selectors (formal/fun, long/short). Neither product exports AI drafts in a structured format, so copy-paste saved captions into the new tool's draft queue before switching over.
- Warning: Flick's Iris is available on all paid plans with no documented credit cap; Publer's AI Assistant is limited to the Business plan — Professional plan users get limited credits only.
- Warning: Publer's AI supports GPT-5.5-powered image generation and translation into 80+ languages; Flick's Iris is text-only and English-focused, so AI image generation workflows have no equivalent on the Flick side.
- Warning: Flick specializes in repurposing blog text into social snippets; Publer adds WordPress blog article generation. If your workflow centers on Instagram-first content, Flick's feed preview is a meaningful loss when migrating to Publer.
Both tools support an idea-capture-to-scheduler workflow: Flick's Content Planner holds AI-generated or manual ideas before they become scheduled posts; Publer's AI Assist can generate drafts that stay in the composer as drafts until scheduled. Moving from Flick to Publer: review all unscheduled ideas in Flick's planner, copy the text for each into Publer's composer, save them as drafts (do not schedule them yet), and then organize them across the calendar. Moving from Publer to Flick: open each Publer draft, copy the content, and use Flick's AI assistant or manual entry to recreate them as ideas in the Content Planner before moving them to the scheduler.
- Warning: Flick's Content Planner is a lightweight editorial pipeline integrated with the Iris AI assistant — there is no export or structured data dump, so migration is manual copy-paste only.
- Warning: Publer does not have a standalone 'ideas board' separate from the scheduler; drafts live directly in the scheduling calendar, which means ideas without a target date can be harder to manage in bulk.
- Warning: Neither product offers an import path for structured content briefs or editorial calendars from external tools (e.g., Notion, Airtable), so any planning metadata outside the tool is lost in migration.
Flick has a dedicated hashtag research and tracking module; Publer surfaces hashtag performance data inside its Analytics section (Hashtag Analysis tab). Moving from Flick to Publer: export your Flick hashtag collections by copying or noting the saved sets from each collection, then paste those hashtag groups into Publer's AI Assist (which can generate and suggest hashtags in the composer) or store them as saved text snippets for reuse. Track ongoing hashtag performance in Publer Analytics > Hashtag Analysis, which shows which tags drove the most reach and engagement per post. Moving from Publer to Flick: reproduce your monitored hashtags in Flick's search tool, save them to named collections, and enable the banned-hashtag checker before scheduling new posts.
- Warning: Flick's hashtag tooling is a purpose-built feature with 20+ language search, banned-hashtag detection, competition scoring, and per-post ranking tracking; Publer's Hashtag Analysis is retrospective (post-publish performance only) and does not offer pre-publish research or a banned-hashtag checker.
- Warning: Flick's hashtag collections are not exportable as a file — you must manually copy sets before migrating to Publer.
- Warning: Publer's AI Assist can auto-generate hashtags inside the composer, partially substituting for Flick's research step, but the suggestions are AI-generated rather than search-data-driven.
Both platforms offer a drag-and-drop calendar for scheduling posts across multiple social accounts. Moving from Flick to Publer: export scheduled but unpublished posts from Flick manually (there is no bulk export) by copying post text and downloading attached media, then re-create them in Publer's composer and schedule via the calendar or CSV bulk upload. Connect the same social accounts in Publer (Settings > Accounts). Moving from Publer to Flick: prepare a CSV of your future posts in Publer if you use bulk scheduling, then recreate the schedule in Flick's calendar — Flick does not support CSV import, so each post must be added individually or via the AI assistant workflow. Reconnect your Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and LinkedIn accounts in Flick's account settings.
- Warning: Flick's Solo plan caps scheduled posts at 30 per social profile per month; Publer's Free plan caps at 10 posts per account. Both restrict volume on entry-level plans, so verify your posting frequency before committing to a tier.
- Warning: Publer supports a wider platform set (Pinterest, YouTube, Google Business, Threads, Bluesky, Mastodon, Telegram) that Flick does not cover — posts going to those platforms cannot be migrated to Flick.
- Warning: Flick has a visual Instagram feed preview before publishing; Publer does not offer the same pre-publish feed grid preview, which is a notable loss for Instagram-heavy workflows.
Both tools provide post-level engagement metrics, reach and follower growth tracking, and hashtag performance data. Moving from Flick to Publer: before cancelling Flick, export historical analytics by downloading any available CSV or PDF reports from the Reports tab — Flick stores indefinite historical data but Publer will only see data from the point accounts are connected. In Publer Analytics, configure the same date range and connect the relevant accounts; hashtag performance data is available under Hashtag Analysis within the analytics dashboard. Moving from Publer to Flick: export your PDF or CSV reports from Publer before disconnecting, then connect Instagram to Flick (Flick's analytics require the Instagram Business/Creator account link). Flick's analytics are Instagram-specific, so cross-platform metrics for other networks will not be replicated.
- Warning: Flick's analytics cover Instagram only (feed, stories, IGTV) and benchmark against 55,000+ accounts; Publer's analytics span all connected platforms but do not offer the same industry benchmarking feature.
- Warning: Flick removes the 30-day Instagram native data window by storing indefinite history; Publer's historical data retention depends on the plan and account connection date — historical data before connecting to Publer is not available.
- Warning: Both products require paid plans for full analytics access: Flick's Solo plan caps tracked posts at 30/month; Publer's analytics are unlocked on Professional and Business plans.
Both platforms support multi-user teams managing multiple social accounts, but their permission and approval models differ. Moving from Flick to Publer: note your current Flick plan's user and profile counts (Solo: 1 user/4 profiles; Pro: 2 users/8 profiles; Agency: 5 users/20 profiles), then create a matching Workspace in Publer per client or brand, invite team members with the appropriate role (Admin, Editor, or Client), and reconnect the same social accounts per workspace. If you manage clients, Publer's Client role and two-tiered approval workflow replaces Flick's Agency-plan arrangement where no approval workflow is documented. Moving from Publer to Flick: map Publer Workspace roles to Flick's user seats — Flick has no Client-viewer role, so clients cannot be given read-only access; the Agency plan is the closest equivalent for multi-client work.
- Warning: Publer offers a formal two-tiered post approval workflow (internal team approval then client approval) that Flick does not document — teams relying on structured approval chains cannot replicate this in Flick.
- Warning: Flick charges £8/mo per additional user and £4/mo per additional profile beyond plan limits; Publer's pricing for extra seats and accounts varies by plan tier — compare actual seat costs before switching if your team is large.
- Warning: Publer supports unlimited Workspaces on Professional and Business plans, enabling logical separation per client; Flick has a single workspace with profile-level separation only, which may be limiting for agencies managing many brands.
